PeopleOps Goes Fast and Furious with Ariba Discovery
Boutique consulting firm racks up $11 million in revenue in under a year using premier business matching service
SUNNYVALE, Calif., October 27, 2015 – Jonah Manning knows a thing or two about building businesses. His boutique consulting firm, PeopleOps, connects companies with talent that can help them with everything from revenue growth strategies and acquisitions to innovation partnerships and supply chain optimization. But when it came to expanding his own operations, he struggled. Traditional lead generation tools made it tough to find, qualify and bid on opportunities for business. In his search for a better way, Manning came across Ariba Discovery, the premier service for matching business buyers and sellers globally, delivered by Ariba, an SAP Company. And the opportunities started coming to him.
“Ariba Discovery has changed our world,” Manning says. “In less than a year, we have seen double digit growth in revenue generated either directly or indirectly through the service.”
Selling Made Simple
With Ariba Discovery, Manning no longer needs to search for relevant leads. Combining a proprietary matching engine with unique profile information, Ariba Discovery automatically delivers them.
“The matched lead system in Ariba Discovery is very good,” he says. “It’s amazing how many deals you don’t think you qualify for that are right up your alley.” Since signing on to the service, PeopleOps has been shortlisted for more than a dozen projects and won an estimated $11 million in new business.
Relationships Made Stronger
Freed from the tactical and mundane aspects of lead generation, PeopleOps is now able to connect with prospects and clients in more meaningful ways that create additional opportunities for expansion. Manning and his team are, for instance, working with a number of chief procurement officers to help them innovate their static supply chains and increase the value they deliver.
The company is also leveraging the Ariba® Network to connect with potential new partners to broaden the range of opportunities it can pursue. “We’re finding folks in our space who complement what we currently do, and this is important because in a networked economy, we can win bigger together,” Manning says.
In the last year, over $3.7 billion in new business opportunities have been posted and more than 23.6 million leads exchanged through Ariba Discovery.
On November 5, Manning will share the story of PeopleOps’ success using the service during the Ariba Commerce Summit in London. Registration for the one-day event to be held at Le Meridien Piccadilly is free and open today. To reserve your place, visit: http://www.ariba.com/lp/2015-ariba-commerce-summits
