Ariba LIVE 2010 Award Eligibility and Criteria

Ariba Excellence Award Winners know that competing in today's global market requires much more than maintaining status quo.

It takes flexibility and know-how to respond to rapidly changing market conditions and heightened supply risk. It involves leveraging technology-based solutions and processes to optimize the complete commerce lifecycle and global networks to efficiently discover, connect, and collaborate with key trading partners. It requires tapping capabilities to augment internal resources and skills and services. And it demands greater agility than ever before.

Ariba Excellence Award Winners are forward-looking procurement professionals or teams, finance or IT executives and suppliers who embrace change and take the actions necessary to enhance the performance of their organizations and deliver them to new worlds of excellence – even in the most tumultuous of times.

Nominations will be accepted until April 9, 2010 and awards will be presented in May during the Ariba LIVE 2010 in Orlando and in June during Ariba LIVE in Amsterdam.

Eligibility:
  • Individuals or teams of procurement professionals, suppliers, finance and IT executives who are currently using Ariba solutions may be nominated.
  • Winners must be available to receive their award at Ariba LIVE 2010, which will take place at Orlando, Florida, May 24-26, 2010 or and Amsterdam June 7-9 and agree to participate in marketing and media opportunities associated with the awards.
  • Award winners will receive complimentary registration and accommodations for Ariba LIVE 2010.
Criteria:
  • Candidates must have driven positive and profound change throughout their organizations and/or overcome a specific business challenge in a unique or innovative way. This may include:
    • Adapting a process such as procurement, sourcing, contract management, spend visibility, supplier management, invoicing and payment to deal with the new realities created by the global recession.
    • Enacting solutions and processes to effectively manage supply risk.
    • Leveraging global networks to collaborate more closely with key trading partners.
    • Driving business growth by leveraging technology to tap new markets and customers.
  • Nominees must be at the executive level within procurement, finance and technology organizations of buying and supplying organizations.
Selection Process:
  • All nominees will be scored and ranked by an independent panel of spend management experts from leading global trade publications and research firms, including:
    • Andrew Reese, editor, Supply & Demand Chain Executive
    • Jason Busch, Executive Editor, www.spendmatters.com and Managing Director, Azul Partners
    • Mickey North Rizza, AMR Research
    • Andrew Bartolini, Aberdeen Group
    • Sam Tulip, Editor Supply Chain Europe
Winner Notification and Award Ceremony:
  • Winners will be notified of their selection in April 2010.
  • Winners will receive recognition on the Ariba Web site and elsewhere through a press release announcing award results, a video of the award ceremony, and more.
Deadline Extended!: All nominations must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. EST on April 9, 2010.
