Benefits
Benefits are an important part of each employee's total compensation. Ariba provides comprehensive, balanced, competitive benefits intended to meet the diverse needs of our employee population. Unless otherwise indicated, Ariba employees are eligible for benefits starting their first day on the job.
- Medical Ariba offers eligible employees medical plan options. Coverage for employees and their dependents is offered at a competitive cost.
- Dental Our dental plan gives employees and their dependents the flexibility to see any dentist they choose. Coverage for employees and their dependents is offered at a competitive cost.
- Vision Ariba offers a vision benefit to all eligible employees. The plan, with certain limitations, provides for eye exams and lenses/frames or contacts every twelve months. Coverage for employees and their dependents is provided at a competitive cost.
- Employee Assistance Program We provide eligible employees with information, referral and short-term counseling for personal issues affecting work or personal life.
- Short-Term and Long-Term Disability Ariba offers short-term and long-term disability benefits for eligible employees.
- Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance We provides life insurance coverage for eligible employees at two times their annual earning up to the plan maximum. We also provide accidental death and dismemberment insurance coverage for eligible employees at two times their annual earnings up to the plan maximum.
- Supplemental Life Insurance Ariba offers employees the opportunity to purchase additional life insurance for themselves up to five times their actual annual earnings or the plan maximum, whichever is less. Supplemental life insurance is also available to employee dependents.
- Business Travel Accident Insurance Ariba employees are covered under business travel accident insurance for three times their annual salary up to the plan maximum.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Our Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) allows eligible employees to purchase shares of Ariba common stock at a discounted price twice a year.
- 401(k) Savings Plan The Ariba 401(k) Savings Plan lets eligible employees defer a percentage of their annual eligible compensation into various investment funds before any federal and state income taxes are withheld.
At the end of each quarter, Ariba will contribute shares of Ariba common stock in the 401(k) Plan in the form of a company match. Each eligible employee will be allocated a number of shares having a value equal to 50% of their contributions (up to 6% of their eligible compensation) into the 401(k) Plan during that quarter. - Flexible Spending Accounts Ariba offers Section 125 flexible spending accounts that allow employees to pay for eligible health care and dependent care expenses with income that is not taxed.
- Educational Reimbursement Program The Educational Reimbursement Program provides 100% reimbursement of educational expenses including tuition, registration, lab fees, and books for approved courses up to the plan maximum of $5,000 per calendar year.
- Fitness Center Employees in our Sunnyvale, CA location have free access to a fully equipped, onsite fitness center.
- Holidays Ariba observes ten paid holidays each calendar year. Nine days are established and published prior to the start of the year. The tenth day is a "floating" holiday that is chosen individually by each employee. Eligible Ariba employees are also given paid days off on the weekdays between the Christmas holiday and the New Year's Day holiday of the following year.
- Personal Time Off (PTO) Ariba employees can accrue up to 20 days of time off with pay per year.
