Making Change Easy: Faster, Simpler Order Revision Management

Ariba& Supplier Network™ Release 48 includes a new feature designed to make change order management easier. Developed in direct response to supplier feedback, the enhancement is specifically targeted to provide what you need to handle change orders quickly and efficiently.

The Change Order Challenge
The process of managing change orders previously required order managers and sales and customer representatives to carefully compare printouts of new and old orders to discern what had been changed and ensure that revisions didn't exceed the original contract terms. If they did, customers had to be contacted to approve the new amounts. Failure to ensure sufficient coverage for changed orders could reduce customer satisfaction and result in invoice rejections and delayed payments, complicating the process even more.

Introducing At-a-Glance Clarity

Ariba& Supplier Network™ Dashboard
PO changes will now be highlighted with orange text in various fields as shown above, greatly simplifying the review process.

The new functionality eradicates these problems by providing a clear visual indication of exactly what has changed on the purchase order. Previous text at both the header and line item level now appears in orange on all change orders received through the Ariba Network, making it easy for order managers to instantly see both new and old values. This increases accuracy and saves significant amounts of time and effort formerly required for manual, line-by-line comparisons. And because changes are highlighted on printed, faxed, and emailed versions as well as electronically, you can take advantage of the new feature regardless of the document format your company prefers.

How Do I Get Started?
To take advantage of the new feature, simply go to supplier.ariba.com and follow the same process you normally use to review change orders. The new feature will operate automatically—allowing you to process order revisions faster and more efficiently with much less effort.
