PPN Annual Survey 2017

Purchase to Pay Network's 2017 survey investigates challenges and opportunities in the areas of accounts payable and procure-to-pay practices and processes.

During the first half of 2017, Purchase to Pay Network (PPN), in association with SAP Ariba, conducted a survey to investigate challenges and opportunities in the areas of accounts payable and procure-to-pay practices and processes. This report is derived from a January – June 2017 study incorporating the online results of 100 senior influencers and decision makers involved with accounts payable (AP), with many holding responsibility across purchase-to-pay (P2P).

The results are revealing. PPN found that among organizations surveyed:

  • 29% work in a largely automated environment
  • 28% utilize e-invoicing
  • 29% measure their manual processing against their e-invoicing
  • 40% do not or cannot calculate cost per invoice
